About the fair

M. E. Concrete 2019 / The Big5 2019
25 – 28 November 2019
Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre
Dubai, U.A.E.

Welcome to the presentation of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The MIDDLE EAST CONCRETE is the exclusive forum for the construction industry in Dubai and one of the most important trade fairs in the Middle East in general. It is the essential showcase for concrete equipment as well as related products, services and technologies. Currently growth in the construction sector in this region is driven by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE and offers a wide range of opportunities. The German Pavilion on the MIDDLE EAST CONCRETE is the ideal platform to find experienced and reliable technology partners and take advantage of the current opportunities in the Middle East construction business.

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) are supporting a German group participation, giving 23 companies the opportunity to present their excellent products and to offer their renowned services to key players and decision makers from all over the Middle East. The Construction Equipment and Building Material Machinery Association within the VDMA – German Engineering Federation - as the Association of German suppliers of concrete and cement technology and related services and products is the initiating association for the German participation. It is accompanying the German delegation and providing professional advice.

On behalf of all exhibitors, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and the supporting associations wish all participants a successful show and extend a warm welcome to all visitors of the German Pavilion in Rashid Hall, stand B190.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) decides on, and supports, official participations in the Federal Republic of Germany's international trade fairs and exhibition programme. In addition to policy and budgetary issues, the active involvement in the presentation of Germany at international fairs and exhibitions is of prime importance. In a constant dialogue with private-sector partners, the division for international / national trade fairs and exhibitions of the ministry backs the export activities of German industry on international markets.

Furthermore, the "fairs and exhibitions division" is concerned with planning and implementing German participation in world expositions abroad and with major political issues regarding fairs and exhibitions in Germany.

The Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, AUMA, represents the interests of the trade fair industry on a national and international level in dealings with parliament, ministries, authorities and other organisations.

The association organises the official German trade fair programme abroad in close cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) and the Ministry of Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture.
